Expo 2008 Zaragoza
The 2008 International Exhibition on the theme : "Water and Sustainable Development" took place over a period of 3 months, from 14 June to 14 September 2008.
A key element of this exhibition, water, can be assimilated to Life, raw material or Energy. It is therefore a link between peoples and regions, the seed of civilisation and source of culture.
Organised over 405 m², the discovery of the Principality through the Monaco Pavilion was imagined as a stroll through the city.
Monaco's National Day was celebrated on 26th June in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, accompanied by the official delegation.

At each universal or international exhibition, the Monaco Pavilion produces the "Stamp of the Monaco Pavilion". On the occasion of Expo 2008 Zaragoza, the « Stamp Issuing Office of Monaco » has proposed a colored brochure with the coat of arms of the Principality of Monaco, with 5 different stamps, including the official stamp of the Monaco Pavilion of Expo 2008 Zaragoza on the theme of Water and Sustainable Development, as well as a stamp representing the profile of Prince Albert II of Monaco, two stamps of the International Cooperation of Monaco and one of the Albert II of Monaco Foundation.
